Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Prepare to operate gas infrastructure to meet nominated demand
   • Relevant information, job requirements and workplace procedures are obtained and analysed to assess the extent of preparation required to plan and coordinate the work
2. Work is prioritised and sequenced for completion within acceptable timeframes following consultation with others in accordance with workplace procedures
3. Hazards and work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) risks are assessed and control measures implemented and monitored in accordance with workplace procedures
4. Job requirements and workplace procedures for the work are obtained for all work sites and communicated to relevant person/s
5. Communication with relevant stakeholders is conducted and gas schedule produced based on bid and/or nomination information
6. Operation is carried out in accordance with workplace procedures
7. WHS/OHS, environmental and sustainable energy policies and procedures are obtained to ensure safe systems of work are followed
8. Relevant stakeholders are provided with possible solutions and options within the scope, acceptable cost and requirements
9. Communication issues with relevant stakeholders are resolved and work coordinated in accordance with work schedule and workplace procedures
10. Person/s participating in the work, including plant operators and contractors, are briefed and responsibilities coordinated and authorised, as required, in accordance with workplace procedures
11. Operate gas infrastructure to meet nominated demand
    • WHS/OHS policies and procedures and safe work practices are followed to eliminate or minimise incidents and hazards
12. Work is performed and coordinated in accordance with work schedule and job requirements
13. Work schedule is monitored and remedial actions taken to address any shortfalls encountered in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
14. Gas schedule is produced in accordance with the information collected in accordance with workplace procedures
15. Abnormal conditions and unplanned events are recognised and responded to in accordance with workplace procedures
16. Problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques are applied to identified problems in accordance with job requirements and workplace procedures
17. Quality and safety checks are undertaken in accordance with job requirements and workplace procedures
18. Complete and review gas infrastructure work
    • Work undertaken is checked against work schedule for conformance with job requirements and anomalies reported in accordance with workplace procedures
19. Work completion records, reports and documentation is completed, processed and the appropriate person/s notified in accordance with workplace procedures
